DWD take part in Virtual Land’s End to John O’Groats challenge in support of homeless charity Crisis

Two teams of 8 from DWD yesterday began their attempts at walking and running a combined distance of 1,331.9km, equivalent to the distance from Land’s End to John O’Groats, over the next six weeks.

This challenge has been organised by Transport Consultants Markides Associates in aid of the charity Crisis.

Crisis are a national charity who help homeless people find safe, self-contained accommodation and support them to find a stable and permanent home. Due to Covid-19 Crisis are seeing more people under extreme pressure and facing homlessness after losing their job during the pandemic. Crisis are therefore helping people find work, with specialist teams who connect people with employers, helping with CVs and interview skills, and providing a whole range of virtual training courses and classes.

We wish the DWD teams taking part, and all the other companies involved, the best of luck!
