Four members of DWD participated in the delayed 2021 JLL Triathlon on Friday 20th August.
Colin Turnbull, James Smith and Edward Wiltshire took on the Duathlon, a run-cycle-run format whilst Clara Rands went for the full Triathlon of swim-cycle-run.
The famously unreliable British weather held out for the team, a crisp, sunny Dorney greeted us at 06:30 and continued throughout the day.
The final results for the team were:
- 90th Colin Turnbull 01:30:26 – category position 21st – Despite a wheel malfunction mid-cycle!
- 48th James Smith 01:23:45 – category position 14th
- 11th Edward Wiltshire 01:15:05 – category position 7th
- 104th Clara Rands 01:21:14 – category position 2nd
A superb effort from the team and especially Clara for being 3rd fastest female in the Triathlon.
Next up for the DWD Team is the LGN Property 5km this Thursday (26th) in Regents Park.
