The Scottish Government have announced that the current 100% rate relief for retail, leisure and hospitality properties is to be extended to include the 2021/22 Rate Year.
The Scottish Government have said this is part of a UK Government response to the Covid Crisis, implying that the scheme is likely to be extended across the UK as well.
Today the Financial Times are reporting that rumours in Whitehall support this hypothesis. The details are due to be announced in the Budget on 3 March 2021.
